Darren Davison - Course Leader – BTEC National: Musical Theatre
Darren has been a specialist music teacher for five years, in a wide variety of educational establishments across the country. As head of music in a Dorset Comprehensive school, Darren developed a strong rock and pop department and organised various concerts. He has also been instrumental in the development of a BTEC music technology curriculum in a further education college in the north east enabling part time and full time students to receive BTEC level 3 qualifications.
Darren has performed a numerous concerts including a touring reggae band and participated in the north east’s first ever outdoor live drum and bass concert “Nice up North” In addition to this Darren has worked as a visiting lecturer for Sunderland University and has even spent a term doing general supply work across Dorset, Southampton and Hampshire!
